Another false claim by "NOAA" --> YTD warmest third on record! (why is there never an author listed on any of this?)

Year to date (January through July 2022)

The year-to-date (YTD) average temperature for the contiguous U.S. was 52.7 degrees F (1.4 degrees above the average), ranking in the warmest-third YTD on record. Temperatures were above average from Oregon to the Gulf Coast and northward to New England. California and Florida each ranked sixth warmest on record for the YTD.

Like the July 2022 claim (same url) it's not true, it's not even close to the truth.  Here's some actual data, not the adjusted made up stuff NOAA uses

You know what the response will be if I explain any of this online?

3rd hottest July in the US , not even close

 NOAA claims

July 2022 was third hottest on record for the U.S.

That's not even close to true.  It's so ridiculous I checked the data myself of course.

The average data shows the same thing.  They lie and they lie and the lie

Why this blog?

Outlier stations (another post that is pretty much just for my use)

Outlier stations are what I call USHCN stations where the data is wildly different from the majority of climate stations.  I don't know...
